What stays on your device?

Your feelings, risk check-ins, personal pathways, plans, progress and private insights are stored locally on your phone or browser. They are not sent to James or stored in a Pattern Reset account.

Because this information is local, removing the app or clearing its storage may permanently remove it.

Routine website information

The website host may process routine technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as an IP address, browser or device information, request time and security logs. This information is not used by James to build a recovery or advertising profile.

The site does not intentionally set advertising cookies or embed behavioural analytics. If that changes, this notice will be updated before the service is introduced.

What is sent when you make an enquiry?

The enquiry form asks for limited contact information such as your name, email address, timezone and the purpose of your request. It is used only to consider and respond to your enquiry.

The form has no message box. Please do not send a clinical history or sexual details in the first enquiry.

Why information is used

Enquiry contact details are used to take steps you request before potentially arranging professional services and to respond to app-support or privacy questions. Routine technical information is processed where necessary to operate, secure and troubleshoot the website.

Information is not sold, used for advertising or used to make automated decisions about you.

Artificial intelligence

Pattern Reset does not include an AI chatbot and does not send recovery information to an AI service for analysis, recommendations or automated decisions.

Service providers and international processing

The website host processes routine technical information on behalf of Costigan Psychotherapy Solutions Limited. Netlify provides the separate Pattern Reset hosting, spam protection and enquiry-form service.

These are global technology services, so information may be processed outside the UK under the providers' contractual data-protection safeguards. They are not permitted to use submitted enquiry details for James's advertising.

How long information is kept

Enquiry details are reviewed and deleted when they are no longer needed to reply, arrange the requested next step or meet an applicable professional or legal obligation. Routine technical information is retained according to the hosting provider's operational and security periods.

If an enquiry becomes a professional psychotherapy relationship, separate privacy, consent and record-retention information will apply.

Your choices and rights

You can delete locally stored recovery information using the delete-data control in Pattern Reset. Depending on the circumstances, you may also ask for access to contact information you submitted, correction, deletion, restriction or object to its use.
